Aftercare Instructions for Laser Hair Removal
For the first 24 hours: Avoid wearing makeup, lotions, moisturizers, and deodorant. Keep the area clean & dry.
For the next 48 hours: No hot showers (only lukewarm or cold), no sweating/gym, no swimming for 48hrs after your laser treatment. Avoid the sun and use a sunscreen with minimum SPF 30+.
First 3 days: Avoid any exfoliation. After 3 days, you can begin to exfoliate treated areas.
First 4 days: Do not shave for at least 4 days after the treatment. You can shave as often as you need to in between treatments. Please do not shave unless needed. Avoid irritating lotions containing AHAs or BHAs such as glycolic, lactic, or salicylic acids.
For the next week: Avoid retinoids if treating the face. You must use a SPF30+ spf on the treated areas for after treatment to protect the skin as it will be more sensitive to the sun damage if directly exposed to the sun’s rays.
Avoid waxing after having soprano laser hair removal. This is quite important to ensure continuity of the treatment. If you have waxed, the next treatment will have to be postponed for 4 weeks after waxing. Your hair can take up to 2 weeks to fall out. It may fall out as late as the 14th day after treatment. If some hair doesn’t fall out within 14 days, please don’t be alarmed. You may shave that area and inform your laser technician about it on your next visit.
